Our governance structure
Members are custodians of the trust’s constitution and charitable purpose. TheirÌýmain roleÌýis to hold the trust board to account for effective governanceÌý
Trustees are the strategic governing body of the trust.ÌýThey set theÌývision and strategyÌýfor all schools in the trust.ÌýThey oversee finance, compliance,ÌýriskÌýand educational performance, holding the trust executive to account.Ìý
We have link trustees for specific areas of governance. These are:

Our Local Advisory boards provide an importantÌýconnectionÌýto our school communitiesÌýand gain an understanding of the ‘lived experience’ of pupils in individual schools. Although not formally ‘governors’ they undertakeÌýa very importantÌýrole.Ìý
Formulation of strategy and day to day operations are delegated to the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive is supported by an executive leadership team and professional experts within the trust central team.Ìý
Trust Committees
The Trust Board hasÌýestablishedÌýcommittees to carry out some of its governance functions, which may include making decisions or recommendations to the full board.ÌýÌý
